Apstrakt:
In present paper, the methodological approach to testing of metals in the function of determining and analysis of the causes of failures has been presented using the example of the damage of the turbineshafts construction on the power plants. This approach can be applied to various types of similar constructions, and its application in preventive maintenance would contribute to extension of the operating life of the turbine shafts
